Let’s learn some basic names of instruments in English. These are popular instruments you might see or hear.

  • O guitar is a string instrument. You hold it and pluck or strum the strings.
  • O piano is a large instrument with black and white keys. You press the keys to make sounds.
  • O drums are percussion instruments. You hit them with sticks to make rhythms.
  • O violin is a small string instrument. You play it with a bow.
  • O clarinet is a woodwind instrument. You blow into it and press keys.
