Many Spanish speakers sometimes use the Present Simple for actions happening right now, similar to how it works in Spanish. However, in English, this is often incorrect.
- Incorrect: I read a book now. (This sounds like a habit)
- 正しい: I am reading a book now. (This means it’s happening at this moment)
Remember that the Present Continuous (am/is/are + -ing) is for actions in progress.
